DeAnna loved it that she lived so close to her grandma Steffke. They lived eight blocks away. There was uncle Don one year older than her mom. Uncle Les one year younger than her mom. Then aunt Jo, aunt Alice, aunt Susie, aunt Marilyn, two months older than DeAnna. Aunt Marilyn and Susie would come over to play alot. Aunt Susie would even bring Hansel and Gretal over, grandma's two Docksons both black. Uncle Don and her mom had different dads. Their dad had drown in a lake when they were young.

Larry and Bobby had a couple neighbor friends they play with alot. Scott and his twin brother lived on the conner. And there was Jerry who would bring his dog over to play.

Dad would go over grandma Rorbacz's alot after work. He had hot rods he built and worked on alot. Grandma & pa would sit outside with him watching him work.

The next two years for summer vacation they traveled alot. First visiting Uncle Don in San Antonio. The adults went to the Alamo and Mexico bringing back Mexican hats, velvet bull fighting pictures and jumping beans.
Then the following summer went through the Smokey Mountains to see Uncle Stan on St Simons Island, Georgia. Who was stationed at Glynn Co Navy Base in Brunswick Georgia. DeAnna loved the islands.
